If you are unsure of just how amazingly popular Lady Gaga is, well, maybe this will give you an idea; she’s huge in China.
Her music is played everywhere, once I saw a wedding dress shop open it’s doors one morning for all of the staff to go outside and do a choreographed dance to one of her songs. And now, there’s a new popular saying amongst the children, teenagers, and even some English-speaking adults: instead of ‘Oh my God!’, they say ‘Oh My Lady Gaga!’
And this is all just in China! I can’t imagine how freaking huge she must be back home, but her constant appearance in the trending topics on Twitter give me some idea of her goddess like fame.
Although I don’t know all of her songs, I think she’s pretty damn cool, especially after hearing her new song, ‘Born This Way.’
I love anyone that moves us forward, encourages us to be more accepting of ourselves and others, and isn’t afraid to say that love is love, no matter what.

Hi Jen,
I love hearing your China stories! I missed most of the program Sunday night because we went to an artist colony in Tubac, AZ and they had a huge art show going on all week. So on Sunday night I was blogging.
I love Lady Gaga. She’s brilliant and can sing. Very entertaining. I love hearing people talk about how crazy she is. That’s exactly what she wants. I’ve seen her on several interviews and she seems grounded and sincere to me. Cheers to all of us being our crazy selves.

I saw Lady Gaga on a few interviews and, like you, I think she seems very sincere. I agree, I think she loves all that crazy talk, she knows what to do in order to get everyone’s attention, then she uses it to promote individuality, equality, and self-love. She definitely loves to shock people, though!

Yes, she’s big in the States. Although, I never heard “Oh My Lada Gaga”, haha. I can imagine that. That’s so funny.
I’m not the biggest fan of the song, I liked her previous album, but I definitely respect the lyrics and I respect Gaga as an artist. I wrote a blog dissecting her Bad Romance music video. She’s definitely out there to change things. Good stuff.

She is talented but is really not my cup of tea. Quirky is good but she’s so quirky I think she fell off the scale lol. I’d love to be a fly on the wall and see what her parents think of some of her outfits.

Hi Han! Yes, her outfits are definitely out there! I wasn’t a fan of the meat dress, but I do love how creative her and her team are, and how much effort they put into her costumes. It would be interesting to see what her and Katy’s parents think of their daughters, but I’d be more interested in being a fly on the wall of Gaga and Katy when they aren’t in the public eye, see how their minds work with all their creativity 🙂
